Ankh ehf. is the independent advisory practice of Jóhann Sveinn Sigurleifsson.

The practice focuses on strategic advisory in situations where decisions are complex, stakes are high and it is important to establish a clear understanding of alternatives before a decision is made.

The work typically involves matters where strategy, governance, contractual frameworks and stakeholder interests need to be aligned.

Ankh is built on more than 15 years of experience across strategy, business development, governance, contracts and complex decision-making.

A significant part of the experience behind Ankh was developed over 13 years at Ljósleiðarinn, one of Iceland’s largest fibre infrastructure companies, working closely with executive leadership and the board on strategy, agreements, market matters, infrastructure projects and decisions with both operational and long-term impact.

The work included strategy development, complex agreements and negotiations, board preparation, business development, large-scale infrastructure projects and M&A-related work.

In addition to in-house experience, the practice also builds on advisory work in situations requiring independent judgement, structured analysis and clear communication.

The experience is not limited to a specific industry. It applies across sectors where strategic direction, governance, contractual structures and execution need to work together.
